We are all excited about the progress being made in and around our church facilities. Continue to

go to our website at sctyler.com as we will be publishing pictures of the work being done on THE

GATHERING. Since you can’t go on the construction site, we will bring the site to you. A limited

amount of photos will be posted on our Facebook page, SouthCentral Church of Christ.

The front portion of THE GATHERING will be a space dedicated to our faithful late treasurer,

Brother Charles Craddock. We will include his wife, Sister Berdine Craddock, who although was not a

member of SouthCentral, was an important part of our beginning and our growth. She supported her

husband Charles, and even after his death continued to give much financial support to this church—

not to mention the love and moral support she provided to many of us here. When we bought this

property back in 2002, it was Charles’s signature alone that secured our loan with the bank. This

Christian couple enabled SouthCentral Church to become financially viable. We will always— “I” will

always be indebted to these adoptive parents of mine for what they continue to mean to us. We will

set their memory in stone. They are COLUMNS of SouthCentral.

Do not think that just because the work is nearing completion on our new multi-purpose center that

the work and sacrifice is over! Now comes the task of furnishing it with much needed furniture and

other accessories. We want The Gathering to serve us in each and every way possible. This is going to

be fellowship and edification headquarters. To begin (and I do mean begin) to furnish the building will

cost in excess of $5000. I need 50 people who will give $100 by the first Sunday in December for this

effort.

We want to use social media to drive the church and everyone in the world to our website. I ask you

to do whatever you need to in remembering to do this as members and attenders at SouthCentral. As

you can probably tell, we are making fewer announcements, but that does not mean that there is less

going on here. We are simply trying to get the church more accustomed to consulting sctyler.com as

the official announcement and news medium of our church family. Consider it a sort of NEWS

CENTRAL and we should get accustomed to using it as such. How often? How about every day?? We

won’t be changing content that often---yet. However, you will see not only increased activity on

sctyler.com, but you will also gradually see more opportunities for people to be interactive on it. And

yes, you will also observe more marketing of our website. We are going to use everything

SouthCentral has to the fullest.

Total Praise, the official chorus and very first ministry SouthCentral launched 20 years ago is making

a comeback! In the past few years we have not been active, but there is a need for us to rev it back up

and keep going. Plans are being made and several who are interested in singing are expressing

interest. Please be listening for special announcements and consulting the website for details for the

kick off of the new TOTAL PRAISE CHORUS at SouthCentral Church!
